From Wednesday to Thursday, 5,877 new infections were registered in Austria. The number is above the 7-day average of 5,577 infections. The 7-day incidence drops to 438.62.
This brings the number of active Corona cases down to 78,238. Fifty-seven thousand one hundred eighty-one new PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 10.28 percent.
There are also eleven new deaths. This means that 19,242 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died across Austria.
Currently, 1,370 people infected with the Coronavirus are undergoing treatment in hospitals. Of these, 76 are being cared for in intensive care units.
